Legacy Park: October 2010

We had an outstanding 1st annual "It's our Legacy" event October 14th at squire creek country club. We were completely sold out filling 240 seats. Ryan Kilpatrick opened the night with comments to be sure the crowd abided by the dress attire of "snappy casual." Jana Beck gave a brief statement on the park and what it meant to her. The dinner menus consisted of pecan crusted chicken with vegetables and a sweet potato followed by bread pudding for dessert. Gina Jones, a Ruston attorney and mother of a special needs child gave an outstanding speech about how her special needs child has changed her life. Ben Dance then opened up with the live auction leaving us with a total of $19,000. Melanie Massey concluded with mark your spot in the park. She managed to sell every piece of equipment and then some! We are so thankful for everyone who came and showed their support. When all totals came to a conclusion we manged to raise 82,000!!!

We, the Legacy Park organization and especially the children and families who will benefit from this park....thank you from the bottom of our Hearts!
