Jana Beck (President)
Jana graduate from Louisiana Tech University in 2000 with her Bachelors and graduated with her doctorate from Parker College of Chiropractic. She is married to Bryan from Bossier city and they have two precious little boys. Peyton is 4 and Bailey who has Down Syndrome is 21 months. She is currently employed with Louisianan Tech University in he Kinesiology department.
Mechelle Brown (Member)
Married to Jimmy Brown of Choudrant with Twin daughters Rachel and Emily.
She has been a special education teacher for 16 years. Mechelle received her Bachelors Degree from Northeast Louisiana University and my Master's Degree in Special Education from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. She received her National Board Certification in 2007. She is presently teaching an Early Childhood special education class at the Lincoln Parish Early Childhood Center in Ruston, Louisiana.
Donna Sasser (Secretary/Treasurer)
Donna graduated from Ruston High School and LA Tech University. She works as a consultant dietitian and is married to David Sasser, Jr. Donna and her husband have 2 children: Rachel 14 and Anna 10, who has Down syndrome. The Sasser's currently live in Choudrant, LA.
Dr. Jacob Wood (Member)
Dr. Jacob Wood graduated from LSU in 1996 and the University of Alabama School of Medicine in 2000. Jacob is a family physician with Green Clinic at Green Clinic Northside. He is married to Ashley Wood who is an occupational therapist with Green Clinic. Jacob and Ashley have three children: Kids - Elizabeth (10), Mary Page (8), Myles (5). Dr. Wood lived in Ruston from 1975-1984 then returned in 2008.
Jenny Robertson
Jenny Robertson made the transition into Ruston life about three years ago, after she and her husband, Don, decided they wanted to live closer to his work in Ruston. At the time, they were living in Monroe and Don was commuting everyday. Aware of the great qualities Ruston has to offer a growing young family, the two did not take long to mull over the decision. Jenny is originally from El Dorado, Arkansas. She attended college at University of the Ozarks in Clarksville, Arkansas, eventually transferring to Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia, Arkansas, where she graduated in 2002 with a Bachelor of Applied Science degree.
For now, Jenny stays busy as a homemaker of a busy family with three children - Cole, Madison and Preston. She is involved in Junior Auxiliary of Ruston and is excited about this opportunity to serve on the Legacy Park board.
Jenny James (Vice President)
Jenny is a graduate of Ruston High School. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Northwestern State University and a Degree in Nursing from Louisiana Tech. She is currently employed as a Registered Nurse for the Lincoln Parish School Board. She is married to Tom James of Ruston and they have a son, John (7), who has Down Syndrome.
Meredith is a 2001 graduate of Ouachita Baptist University with a bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and is a 2003 graduate of LA Tech University with a Masters in Speech-Language Pathology. For 5 years, she worked as a speech-language pathologist in a local pediatric private practice prior to transitioning in to her current job as Director of Rehabilitation/Speech-Language Pathologist for 2 facilities owned by Tara Therapy. Meredith is also President of Junior Auxiliary of Ruston, an organization dedicated to the welfare of children in the Lincoln Parish area.
Ryan Kilpatrick (Fundraising)
James Ramsaur (Member)
James is a graduate of University of Texas at Tyler. He is currently the Director of LPP and has been working there since 1996. James is married to Laura Terry Ramsaur and they have three children: Matthew (21) lives in Shreveport and works for World Wide FX as a special effects person of tv and film, Melissa (17) will be a senior at RHS this fall, has taken voice and piano for many years and plans to study music in college, and John (15) will be a sophomore at RHS and play football and is active in scouts. The Ramsaur's attend Christ Community Church.
